The Child was discovered in a hover pram (pod) by The Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin on Arvala-7. A full year later, in the show's second season, in November 2020, The Child reveals his name as Grogu™ to force-sensitive former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano.

Obverse: A right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is centered on the obverse, encircled by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "NIUE," "TWO DOLLARS" and "2022." A single line of smaller text curves below citing "1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER" and the Lucasfilm Ltd. Trademark. The likeness of the monarch was created by acclaimed British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998.

Reverse: The coin is distinctively shaped as Grogu's protective hovering pram. The pod is primarily rendered in uncolored silver on the reverse, with battle dings and scratches. Grogu is depicted fully colorized, alert and observant from the safety of the hover pram.
