The legal tender silver $2 coin was struck by special arrangement with the Republic of Fiji.
The coin was struck by China's New Century Mint.
Each coin contains 2 oz. of silver struck on a .999 fine silver helmet-shaped planchet.
Only 500 units were struck.
Fearsome Spartan Helmet Design
Reverse: The coin has been fashioned in the classic shape of a Spartan Helmet. This style of helmet was state of the art in the Ancient world and stayed in use with modifications through the Roman Empire. The coin was antiqued to highlight the detail and drama of the design.

Obverse: The obverse image is the Coat of Arms of the tiny Pacific Island nation of Fiji. The image features two figures standing on either side of a shield.
