Beautiful American Silver Eagle Designs
Obverse: The obverse features Lady Liberty draped in an American flag as she walks towards the rising sun. This rendition of Liberty was originally created for the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar by acclaimed early 20th century medallic artist Adolph A. Weinman. The Type-2 Silver Eagle release includes the designer's "AW" monogram for the first time in the history of the series. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "2021" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."

Type-1 Reverse: A heraldic eagle grasping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch is depicted on the Type-1 reverse, which was minted on all Silver Eagles from the series' inception in 1986 until mid-2021. The classic design is credited to John Mercanti, the currently retired 12th U.S. Mint Chief Engraver. Type-2 Reverse: Introduced in July 2021, the Type-2 reverse illustrates and eagle preparing to land, with an oak branch clutched in its talons. The eagle landing graphic was created Emily Damstra, a U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist since 2014. Each reverse type includes the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER" and "ONE DOLLAR."
