This silver proof coin was originally part of a five coin set issued in 2015 to celebrate the release of the eleventh film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, titled Avengers: Age of Ultron. The coin features the character Tony Stark, dressed in one of the electromechanical suits of armour that embodies the identity of the superhero known as Iron Man.
The reverse features Iron Man in his signature red and gold armoured MARK XLV Stealth Suit aggressively advancing with his laser palm aimed forward. The image is surrounded by a machine themed background and border containing the inscriptions "IRON MAN," "2015," "1 OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" and "MARVEL." "ELIZABETH II," "NIUE," "TWO DOLLARS" and "2015" encircle the right facing portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, created by sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley.
