Exciting 2020 Koala Design
Obverse: The obverse features the likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR." The Queen's effigy is the work of Jody Clark, the first employee of The Royal Mint of Great Britain to execute a monarch coinage portrait in more than a century.
Reverse: The reverse depicts a single koala clinging to a nearly vertical tree branch. Inscriptions include "AUSTRALIAN KOALA," "2020 1OZ 9999 SILVER" and the Perth Mint's "P" in the right field area.
